Its lively prints take their cue from Hellenic expressions of music, dance, and gaiety. To reflect a spirit of hope and optimism for 2021, Olivia von Halle has experimented with lines that are freer, more painterly, and more gestural, transforming their renowned prints into a new and bold hand-painted style. The mood of the collection is best summed up as celebratory, capturing the newfound freedoms that emerge; to embody this, the design team was inspired by the gestural lamps of Max le Verrier, and plays with elegant riffs on the effervescent style of designer Erté. Their inspiration can be seen in the fluid forms of the Euripides and Erte print, which encapsulate pure, liberated expression—because a life led in silk is a life well-led.
With hand-drawn designs making their fluid, expressive mark on Olivia von Halle’s signature silks, there are new, luxurious styles added to the leading brand of luxury loungewear, both elegant and free-spirited. Olivia von Halle makes an art of its vivid prints, designed and hand-drawn in their London studio, before being cut and screen-printed–a process they repeat dozens of times, to achieve unrivalled depth and saturation of colour, and ensure that no two prints, like the Olivia von Halle woman, are the same. The Visions of the Future Collection presents the classic styles of Olivia von Halle’s best-selling Lila silk pyjama with dazzling prints, adorned with gestural, uninhibited, otherworldly moments of dance and decadence. The Visions of the Future Collection, with its spirit of freedom, embraces new styles this season, with the Indya and Amika. The Indya is the ultimate embodiment of the luxurious silk that defines Olivia von Halle; with the Indya, the silk camisole set is reinvented with vivid new colourways and expressive seasonal prints. The Amika nightshirt, crafted in the luxuriously thick drape of 100% 19 momme silk, is a new style, with characteristically luxe touches such as mother of pearl buttons—it’s the perfect addition to the ultimate luxury leisurewear wardrobe.
