The Icons, The Leather

Forty years of fashion, forty years at the side of women, teaching them how to love themselves every day. In 1980, Marina Rinaldi designed the first collection that would reach the public the following year with a clear objective: eliminate prejudices that saw elegance as a matter of size.

From that point onwards, the brand has always stayed loyal to that objective and to a vocation for timeless, high quality items, stylish icons to be loved and worn, like the beautifully designed outerwear.

To coats, therefore, Marina Rinaldi dedicates a mini capsule collection of 4 styles – one per decade – that celebrates this product category as a symbol of the brand’s impeccable savoir faire, though reinterpreted with an unusual twist.

The trench coat, the duster coat, the peacoat and the caban, selected as the designs most representative of Marina Rinaldi’s story, have been brought back again in the same silhouettes, volumes and proportions but this time, instead of producing them in fabric, they have been produced in leather.

The exceptionally soft nappa leather was proposed in different options, from a doubled version to the one combined with suede, to the openwork with a sophisticated mesh, making some of the garments that have rendered Marina Rinaldi famous over time, even more invaluable.

The colours range from super chic black to bottle green, from an extremely pale sage to intense turquoise, to fit in with customers’ wardrobes while simultaneously brightening them up with a modern, determined appeal.

The capsule collection will be available on-line and in selected Marina Rinaldi boutiques around the world from December.
