An Inspiring and Uplifting Vision

This month, OHLALA spoke to Myrna Al Haddad, Author and Founder of Pinky Blush, about women’s empowerment and her beauty venture.

“Qatar is blooming – not just economically, but culturally. There’s a rising wave of confidence where tradition meets fearless self-expression.”
– Myrna Al Haddad, Author and Founder of Pinky Blush

OHLALA – How did the beauty universe enter your life?
Myrna Al Haddad –
Beauty has always been a part of my soul’s language. As a writer, I’ve long believed in the power of storytelling – and beauty, to me, is another form of narrative. It tells the world how you feel without saying a word. I grew up fascinated by transformation – not just physical, but emotional. That’s what pulled me into this universe. I wanted to create a space where women could reconnect with their own light – and walk out not just enhanced but empowered.

OHLALA – What is the Pinky Blush Beauty Lounge concept, and how did you come up with it?
Myrna –
Pinky Blush was never meant to be just another salon. I envisioned it as a sanctuary of luxury – a place where elegance meets edge, and every detail whispers of intention. The concept was born from a desire to make every woman feel like a star in her own story. Pinky Blush is where glamour becomes personal. It’s soft yet powerful. Feminine yet fierce. And everything about it – from the colours to the service rituals – was created to reflect that contrast.

OHLALA – What are the differential services that you offer?
Myrna –
We don’t follow trends – we set standards. From our signature Hydraglow Royale facial to our Celestial Nail Sets, each service is designed to deliver results and elevate the experience. Our Privilege Elite Club offers exclusive access to bespoke treatments, private sessions and personalised beauty planning. Even our nail artistry goes beyond aesthetics – it’s storytelling in design. At Pinky Blush, it’s not about offering more but offering meaningful luxury.

OHLALA – In your opinion, what do customers look for when choosing a salon?
Myrna –
They look for trust. In an era of endless options, trust is the new luxury. Clients want more than pretty interiors – they want consistency, mastery and energy. They want to feel seen. At Pinky Blush, our clients return because they don’t just get beautiful – they feel elevated, understood and treated like royalty.

OHLALA – Beyond Pinky Blush, what else are you involved with?
Myrna –
Writing will always be my first love. As an award-winning author (her first book After Midnight, about her own journey, tackled societal taboos), I continue to explore themes of identity, femininity and transformation through my work. I also mentor young creatives, especially women, helping them channel their voices into something powerful. Whether it’s through a book or a beauty treatment, my mission remains the same – to celebrate womanhood in all its complexity.

OHLALA – Can you tell us more about Privilege Elite Club by Pinky Blush Beauty Lounge?
Myrna –
The Privilege Elite Club is our way of saying luxury should be tailored. It’s an invitation-only membership for clients who crave privacy, priority and personalisation. Members enjoy early access to new treatments, private glam sessions, exclusive events and curated beauty rituals. It’s not about perks – it’s about presence. This club is for women who lead and expect the best without compromise.

OHLALA – You attended the Cannes Film Festival 2025. What was your experience like?
Myrna –
Cannes was a dream woven into reality. I was honoured to be invited as a creative force in both the beauty and literary worlds – blending aesthetics with storytelling. The energy was electric. Being among visionaries from film, fashion and art reminded me why Pinky Blush exists: to give every woman her red-carpet moment, no matter where she is. It wasn’t just about glamour – it was about legacy.

OHLALA – Qatar has been experiencing exponential growth in the fashion and beauty sectors in recent years. In your opinion, what are the reasons for this growth?
Myrna –
Qatar is blooming – not just economically, but culturally. There’s a rising wave of confidence where tradition meets fearless self-expression. Women are embracing their power unapologetically. This evolution is inspiring a demand for spaces that reflect that sophistication and ambition. Qatar’s beauty and fashion boom isn’t just growth – it’s a statement. And Pinky Blush is proud to be part of that story.
