If you want to know the real feeling of experiencing ‘lifestyle with a view’ you need to head to Franck Provost, Four Seasons Doha. I was immediately wowed the moment I entered; big windows overlooking the sea, the diamond-like glare of the sun reflecting on the water, boats and the spectacular view of the hotel making this one of the best treatment experiences!
I originally went in for an Olapex treatment but David, my hair guru for the day, immediately told me that I was going for the wrong treatment. He examined my hair and I literally felt so guilty because I knew I hadn’t been looking after my locks. He explained my situation to me and recommended the Kérastase Chronologiste treatment instead. The treatment consisted of thorough shampooing with one of the recommended shampoos that David asked me to go for (it now sits in my collection) followed by the serums that were left in my hair for a good 20-30 minutes. I was handed over to Seelan who made my entire experience all the more magnificent. That view and Seelan’s head and shoulder massage were my little island break in itself.
Whilst I enjoyed getting pampered by the hair specialists, I was introduced to Jolinda who introduced me to the dipping powder nails routine. Since I am not a huge fan of nail extensions, I decided to go natural and chose a very subtle colour for this as it caught my eye the minute I was shown the palette. The technique takes an hour or so because it is meant to stay on for at least a month, for which there were layers added which included the base, the shine and the top coat. My nails were literally dipped in powder in between every layer and the result? Smooth, matte and visibly strong nails. Since this treatment is for those who tend to have weak nails I fit right in and I’m certainly a convert to this. I received compliments from everyone – Jolinda herself, the team and even a lady at the cashier!
An excellent view with expert technicians is what I take away from Franck Provost. I was lucky enough to witness some envy worthy blow dries in the house and experienced a new treatment, which helped me understand my hair better. Honestly, can a girl ask for more?
