JAYNE HOUGHTON delves into the world of the founder and chief creative officer of eponymous makeup and skincare brand, Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Ltd. as we talk exclusively to the biggest name in the beauty industry CHARLOTTE TILBURY for the ultimate glow-up advice.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and three things that people do not know about you?

Darling, thank you so much for the opportunity to reach out to the amazing Charlotte Tilbury Beauty community in Arabia! We love the Middle East! I can’t wait to visit once again and see all your gorgeous faces. I have been working as a celebrity makeup artist to some of the world’s most famous, beautiful and inspirational women for over 27 years—from Salma Hayek to Amal Clooney, Kate Moss, Gigi Hadid, Kim Kardashian and so many more—I love to share my magic makeup and skincare secrets with everyone around the world!

Three things people may not know about me are:

• I grew up in bohemian Ibiza, so I have always been mesmerised by the magical power of crystals. I carry them with me everywhere and I have them all over my home, in my office and in my car. When I launched my NEW! Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, I wanted to ensure that my expert, science-powered formula captured not only the latest innovations in technology and the best of modern biocosmetic science, but also the spiritual and mythical power of crystals. I believe that crystals are like natural beauty filters, so my serum contains Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Crystal Quartz, Moonstone and Ruby!!
• My very first product was my award-winning, iconic Magic Cream, which was actually named by all of the actors, actresses, supermodels and starlets who had seen the magic for themselves and knew that Magic Cream was Magic Skin! I first began mixing it backstage at shows during fashion week to transform models’ tired, dull skin before makeup and it became known as an ‘instant miracle turnaround cream’.
• I always go to bed with a smokey bedroom eye. My husband has never seen me without makeup!

What would be your number one natural beauty tip/hack that you do first thing in the day/ morning?

Positive Thinking: I wake up on a mission every day to make beauty dreams come true. I always think positively and live my life by my positive mantras like ‘dare to dream it, dare to believe it, dare to do it’. The power of positive visualisation can help you achieve anything!

Are there any facial exercises or application techniques that you would recommend, such as your Magical Tilbury tapping?

I have always intuitively used facial massage to energise the skin. We have 45 muscles in our face, and massage can really help target and relieve tension in the jaw, forehead and neck. Begin your facial massage by taking 4-6 drops of the product, then press it into the skin.
