In Case You Missed It

global celebration of craftsmanship, culture and collaborations makes it to this month’s news roundup.

Drive in Style

To mark Porsche Italia’s 40th Anniversary, Ferragamo and Porsche have worked on two exclusive models: the 911 Carrera 4 GTS and the Taycan 4S. Both cars feature Blusogno, a bright blue with violet undertones drawn from Ferragamo’s ready-to-wear collections and iconic Hug bag. “When Porsche asked Ferragamo to contribute to this Anniversary, the main idea was to change as little as possible and focus on refined details. Because Porsche is already perfect,” said Leonardo Ferragamo, the luxury fashion brand’s chairman. Crafted by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the design combines the finest Italian craftsmanship with German engineering. White fine lines accentuate the car’s aerodynamics, while the interior features white leather piping and elegant Blusogno detailing on the steering wheel, console and paldao wood trim. The wheels carry the same theme, hand-painted blue along with red Porsche crests. A custom car cover completes the set, featuring white piping, a Porsche crest and Ferragamo branding.

Nomadic By Design

London label QASIMI collaborates with ASWAD, a Parisian leather workshop, on a new accessories collection that reflects shared Arab roots and a passion for contemporary craftsmanship. The capsule reinterprets functional leather goods through a nomadic, design-focussed lens. The collection includes a structured, smooth leather backpack with oversized pockets, two grained leather belt bags featuring roomy interiors and practical front compartments and a pair of detachable belts for a more modular styling. ASWAD’s founder, Sonia Ahmimou, whose background includes time at Hermès, Moynat and Louis Vuitton, brings sensibilities rooted in Moroccan heritage and French savoir-faire. “I appreciate the idea that one can wander with their home on their back,” she says of the collection’s ethos. Together, the two independent labels present a collection that speaks to identity, movement and the evolving language of contemporary Arab design.

Denim Deconstructed

Levi’s and sacai return with a collaboration that pushes heritage denim into more experimental territory. Known for its hybrid silhouettes, the Japanese label brings its signature deconstruction to some of Levi’s most iconic pieces. The women’s collection includes a sculptural denim jacket mixing multiple Levi’s archive styles, a bib-front jumpsuit with camisole straps and flared legs and a matelassé twill jacket layered from the inside out. For men, the featured product is a reversible blouson with sharp tailoring on one side and a Type II denim jacket on the other, featuring custom hardware, selvedge trims and sacai’s anchor buttons. A unisex ultra-wide seven-pocket jean with a reversible belt completes the drop. Shot by Craig McDean and styled by Karl Templer, the campaign channels James Dean’s free-spirited rebellion, a touchstone for sacai’s Spring and Summer 2025 collection.

A Friendship of Music and Time

Audemars Piguet (AP) marked its 150th Anniversary with a soulful new track, Suzanne, composed by longtime collaborator DJ, producer and songwriter Mark Ronson and new AP family member, the singer and songwriter RAYE. Unbeknownst to the duo, the name they’d chosen for the original track resonated deeply: Suzanne Audemars, a key figure in the brand’s founding story, gave the track emotional weight. This musical partnership is part of a longer journey. AP’s fascination with sound dates back to 2006, when it launched an eightyear research programme with EPFL (the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) and expert musicians to perfect its chiming watches. “The APxMusic programme is an extension of our commitment to nurturing creativity and talent. We are so excited to bring RAYE and Mark Ronson together, in time for our 150th Anniversary, to present a wonderful, original track that will resonate for years to come,” said AP CEO Ilaria Resta.

Sugar Rush

Tory Burch is bringing a sweet twist to its summer staples with a limited-edition collaboration inspired by Swedish candy company BonBon. The Miller sandal and mini Fleming hobo bag come coated in beaded “sugar,” reminiscent of sour gummies, while pastel-coloured Miller and Kira Sport sandals channel soft marshmallows in banana, strawberry and vanilla. Earrings and charms are shaped after Tory’s favourite treats – salty liquorice twists and sour fish. Packaging and dustbags arrive in the confectioner’s signature pink and blue. This is BonBon’s first-ever product collaboration and a personal one as Tory discovered the brand in 2018 and has been gifting their pick-and-mix bags ever since. “Tory was one of our first supporters. This beautiful collection showcases the authentic colours and textures only found in Swedish candy. Each piece reflects our motto that growing up is a trap,” says BonBon cofounder Selim Adira.
