From books and exhibitions to collaborations and revivals, here’s the news roundup this month.

Birds, Blooms and Brilliance
Qatari designer Aisha Alattiya’s winning creation for the Chaumet Tiara Project, Houbara Haven, is now on display at M7 in Msheireb Downtown Doha until January 12, 2026.
The exhibition traces the tiara’s journey from Aisha’s sketches to its 740-hour realisation at Maison Chaumet’s Parisian High Jewellery workshop. The design honours Qatar’s desert wildlife, depicting a houbara bird sheltered among the blossoms and fruit of the Awsaj tree, protected from a falcon.

Natural pearls from Alfardan Jewellery and Chaumet diamonds bring the piece to life. Visitors follow an immersive journey inspired by the bird’s search and refuge, culminating in the tiara’s reveal within a sanctuary of green-toned jewellery.
The exhibition celebrates the next generation of Middle Eastern designers, showcasing how culture, nature and artistry converge in contemporary jewellery.
