An iconic feature adorning perfumes since the famous Eau de Cologne Impériale was created for the Empress Eugénie, the bee has always been at the heart of creation at the House of Guerlain.

Bees are the source of inspiration for Guerlain’s most precious bottles, and they grace the Abeille Royale age-defying skincare collection, which was born out of the discovery of the incredible restorative and healing powers of honey. A highly effective range enriched over the years with other treasures from the hive – honey, royal jelly and propolis.

An environmental sentry, now seriously endangered, the bee has become – beyond the symbol – a guide for the House in its commitment to sustainability, which Guerlain demonstrates through several partnerships in its efforts to preserve biodiversity.

A treasure of nature, which now refines make-up formulations and has inspired this new balm.

Within the Guerlain make-up collection, KISSKISS has become the epitome of lip care. Launched in April 2021, KISSKISS SHINE BLOOM, a shine lipstick made of 95% natural-origin ingredients , provides hydrating floral lip care while offering radiant shine.

Thanks to ‘back-filling’ technology, the KISSKISS BEE GLOW balm has a creamy, buttery texture as rich and addictive as honey. A pure concentrate of softness, its formula enriched with beeswax and infused with lavender essential oil, produced in Provence, glides on easily and dresses the lips with a protective, nourishing coat.

With this luscious and comfortable caring balm made up of 98% natural-origin ingredients* , Guerlain celebrates the multifaceted power of the bee and highlights three emblematic ingredients from the hive:

Honey: a precious elixir known for its restorative, healing and nourishing properties. Cultivated in the hills of Corsica, the honey in this formula was chosen for its unparalleled soothing properties.
Propolis: in addition to its smoothing action, propolis ensures, in tandem with hyaluronic acid, an immediate plumping effect.
Beeswax: used for its nourishing powers, beeswax helps to achieve a texture that glides onto the lips like a petal.

Each shade of KISSKISS BEE GLOW is infused with eosin, an active ingredient which responds to the pH of the lips to instantly revive their natural colour in a long-lasting made-tomeasure shade.

Created by French designer Hervé van der Straeten, the KISSKISS case was given a golden sheen in 2021 to make it even more precious. For the new KISSKISS BEE GLOW, the cap displays a delicate engraving of the bee, the source of inspiration of this new balm.
