Introducing the New Johnson’s Baby Eco Refill Pack

Protecting the planet is a constant worry in our lives these modern days. And this concern only grows when you become a new parent; you end up giving extra importance to the world your child will have in the future. However, prioritising your baby and the world’s health can be a challenging task. It isn’t easy to do it conveniently and cost-effectively, especially with a newborn or toddler and a busy family routine.

Sustainable Products

To help ease your worries, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health has recently made it easier for parents and caregivers with its new JOHNSON’S® Baby refills. The recent launch includes refills for the JOHNSON’S® Baby Shampoo, which comes in recyclable, paper-based cartons, and uses FSC Mix-certified paper from well-managed sources. The containers are easy to pour and have no aluminium. The refill cartons are the latest in a line of innovations that will have a meaningful, positive impact on the globe without compromising the quality or safety of Johnson & Johnson products.

Sophie Rasmussen, VP of EMEA Essential Health and Sustainability at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, reinforces the importance of caring about future generations: “We know that most parents become more concerned about sustainability after becoming a parent. By taking action to develop more sustainable products for our Baby care range, including JOHNSON’S new eco refills range, we are building a better tomorrow.”

Fighting Plastic

This initiative will help to tackle one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time – the excess of plastic. The refills still contain a small amount of it, which is required to maintain the quality of the product and keep the pack watertight – but 90% less than the amount of plastic used in existing JOHNSON’S® Baby wash and shampoo bottles. For roughly every 11,000 refill cartons sold, a tonne of plastic waste will be saved.

No Harmful Ingredients

The health of every baby is paramount, and that’s why JOHNSON’S® Baby liquid cleansers and lotions are paraben-free, phthalate-free, sulfate-free (where possible), and dye-free. With just a simple switch, by choosing the new Johnson’s Baby Eco Refill Pack, parents and caregivers can be sure that they are choosing a safe and effective product for their babies’ hygiene and being gentle with the environment.

The Future is Now

This launch is a key part of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health’s 10-year Healthy Lives Mission to advance human health while protecting the planet, into which the company is investing US$800 million globally between 2020 and 2030. The mission is to improve total health for all individuals at every age and stage of life, their communities and the planet.

As part of this goal, Johnson & Johnson is seeking to reduce its impact on the natural environment by reducing the amount of plastic it uses. In fact, it has committed to making all of its own brand packaging recyclable, reusable or compostable plastic, certified/post-consumer recycled paper and pulp-based by 2025.

The new refills range is available in stores across the GCC now.
