OHLALA Qatar hosted the fourth annual prestigious OHLALA Spa & Wellness Awards 2020 to honour luxury pampering in Doha, Qatar. The annual event that recognises and celebrates success for exceptional service in luxury wellness, beauty and spas was held on February 8, 2021, at the magnificent The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Doha, in the alfresco Lagoon Garden.
Instead of the usual glamorous red carpet, guests, partners, and winners joined the OHLALA Qatar team for afternoon tea throughout the day, staying in line with safety restrictions, while keeping the celebrations alive. The day was quaint, safe with just the right amount of glamour.
“Even though we couldn’t celebrate in the fashion that we had hoped, we’re glad we were still able to bring the spa and wellness community a little celebration in these trying times,” says Chirine Halabi, Director of OHLALA Qatar.
Awards were given out amongst pleasant conversations and tempting scones — truly a new era for awards as winners were celebrated. The OHLALA Spa & Wellness Awards 2020 congratulate more than just luxury. The judges look at highly efficient and dedicated staff, who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure that every guest feels cared for and leaves feeling revitalised.
There are two awards in the key categories: ‘favourite’ decided by an online vote and ‘best’ decided by our editorial panel and industry experts. The awards were distributed in 24 categories, with 48 winners taking home the title of Best or Favourite. These nominees cover the entire spectrum of the spa and wellness industry, ranging from hotel spas, spa products, and beauty/grooming salons to health clubs, and wellness retreats.
This glimmering night under the stars was sponsored by Venita. While the venue was sponsored by The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, the automotive sponsor was Alfardan Premier Motors Co. – Jaguar, and the exciting and anticipated giveaways were sponsored by Rituals.
