The launch of The Global Edit – a groundbreaking initiative designed to equip worldwide designers with the expertise, resources and market access necessary to thrive in the global fashion industry – has been announced by M7, Qatar’s epicentre for innovation in fashion, design, and technology, established by Qatar Museums under the leadership of its Chairperson, Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The Global Edit is a tailored programme addressing every stage of a designer’s journey, offering strategic guidance and securing visibility at major fashion events and trade shows. Providing opportunities to both emerging and established brands, the programme takes on a focussed approach to support the goals of each designer’s target market.
In its first edition, The Global Editspotlights three exceptional brands whose creativity, craftsmanship and ambition represent the future of fashion on a global scale.
Tasha and Ley
Tash and Ley is not just a fashion brand, it’s wearable art designed to be lived in, worn and shared. Founded by Tasha Saradar and Lea Al Chaa, the brand combines their unique skills to embody freedom of expression and boundless curiosity, symbolised by the hummingbird.

The essence of Tash and Ley lies in the scarf, a versatile canvas that reflects the individuality of its wearer. Crafted from high-quality silk, the scarves blend chic elegance with a distinctive twist, produced in limited quantities to ensure each piece is a true statement.
The brand’s commitment to zero waste drives its mission to transform damaged scarves and leftover fabric into special accessories, including mini talē scarves, silk scrunchies and bag charms. Each accessory is uniquely crafted, creating a one-of-a-kind treasure.
Tash and Ley prioritise eco-friendly practices by using natural fabrics and incorporating recycled materials in their packaging. Their digital printing technique minimises water consumption and chemical waste, aligning their operations with sustainable values.
As they grow, the brand remains dedicated to enhancing eco-conscious efforts, ensuring that every piece of material finds new life. Tash and Ley invite you to explore your imagination and live boldly through their creations.

Launched in the summer of 2022, Gigeez is a unique fashion brand that seamlessly blends sustainability, inclusivity and multiculturalism. Initially introduced at M7 Studio7 and later expanding to Paris, Gigeez specialises in handcrafted garments embodying an upcycled ethos.

The brand’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in the minimal waste practices and zero-waste packaging. Gigeez promotes inclusivity by offering two sizes – loose fit and slim fit – while celebrating the uniqueness of each woman through the distinct patterns.
