Designer Touch

H&M have associated their label with many high-end brands in the past few years; this time, the partnership is with the re-branded Rabanne. Fusing radical design with innovative craftsmanship, the enticing collection draws on the futuristic creations of the house’s late founder, Paco Rabanne. Famous for his boundary-breaking couture designs in metal, moulded plastic and paper, he redefined glamour in the 1960s with his nowiconic metallic mesh dresses. Today, Rabanne take revolutionary, retro-inflected style to a new dimension with an effortlessly elegant collection for H&M. It includes womenswear, menswear, shoes, accessories and home décor. The capsule takes Paco Rabanne’s vision to the streets with shimmering dresses, sharp silver suits for men and twinkling accessories.

Mischievous Spirit

HUGO have announced an exciting collaboration with Warner Bros. The new HUGO x Gremlins collection is here for the festivities. The original film gained worldwide popularity in the 80s with the cute protagonist, Gizmo, and is considered an iconic holiday movie – making the full selection a perfect gifting idea for the winter season. The capsule is composed of two sleek T-shirts, a pullover hoodie and a baseball cap – all of which are crafted in black and feature prints of the film’s unmistakable creatures. Some of the designs play with the instantly recognisable HUGO logo in a cheerful, cheeky way. The items offer the HUGO community a new medium for connection and self-expression, in line with the brand’s originality, eccentricity and ethos of individualism.

Utilitarian Footwear

KENZO are launching their first partnership with Hunter, the British brand wellknown for their rubber boots. The KENZO x Hunter collection features high and midtop shapes inspired by 1960s’ duck-hunting boots, available in a rich mix of rubber, suede and leather. The Hunter colour palette of army green and black is jolted by a graphic injection of KENZO red and the brand’s ever-iconic Boke flowers. For Women, KENZO x Hunter has issued an all-black boot in quilted, recycled nylon and a leather upper. A tall unisex original Wellington boot from 1956 has been revisited with a traditional KENZO Boke flower featured on the side. They are crafted from natural, strong, resilient vulcanised rubber with a matte finish and come in black and army green for men and women and red for women. Gotta Catch ‘Em All

The jewellery brand Tiffany & Co. announced their latest collaboration with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham in partnership with the entertainment franchise Pokémon. The Tiffany & Arsham Studio & Pokémon capsule was designed with Arsham’s ‘future relics’ aesthetic, where he reimagines everyday objects as archaeological discoveries from an imagined future. The designs bring a recontextualised Pokémon, a nod to the artist’s A Ripple in Time project in Tokyo. It features nine jewellery designs, from pendants to necklaces, highlighting six iconic Pokémon characters: Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Cubone and Mew. Playing on Pikachu’s iconic yellow colour, two different iterations of necklaces, small and large pendant sizes, are available in 18-carat yellow gold with diamond accents. The oxidised sterling silver designs are packaged in a special box, while a Tiffany Blue Poké Ball houses the gold Pikachu pendants.

Max Mara are celebrating the Teddy Coat’s 10th anniversary #MaxMaraTeddyTen in grand style with many activations and collaborations. Since its catwalk debut in 2013, this plush, camel, cocoon-cut coat has enjoyed icon status. The combination of glamour, playful silhouette and exquisite fabric have made it a fashion favourite and a versatile winter wardrobe piece. Inspired by its soft texture, a residence has been covered in teddy fabric. The Fluffy Residence is a whimsical haven crafted with tenderness and the comforting contours of the Teddy Coat. Italian Goods

The Italian brand Bottega Veneta have opened at Printemps Doha, one of the largest department stores in the Middle East. The brand’s space occupies a 230sq/m area on M2 floor at Printemps and echoes the unique codes of the house, using Italian walnut wood and concrete – a palette inspired by the materials and techniques of the Veneto region. Concrete has an industrial characteristic and, in this context, is reimagined, bringing forward a concept of the past, present and future. The material is also used innovatively as tiles, rising from the floor to create functional components such as planters and jewellery displays. Wooden volumes and soft textures such as leather seating and wool carpeting create an intimate, welcoming atmosphere embodying the Bottega Veneta collections. A variety of products are on display, including women’s leather goods, shoes, jewellery and accessories.
