Making A Statement in Cannes

Diane Kruger, Maria Bakalova and Salma Abu Deif showed off stunning Versace creations at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival.

German actress Diane Kruger was a photographer’s dream as she wore a stunning Atelier Versace dress to the red carpet of acclaimed director David Cronenberg’s latest film, The Shrouds, which premiered at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival.

She donned a custom-made, floor-length crystal mesh gown with a draped waist and three-dimensional voluminous shoulder detail inspired by an archival design from the Atelier Versace Fall-Winter 1997 collection.

And Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova boasted a stunning Versace ensemble while leaving Hotel Martinez during the festival.

Maria wore a checkerboard double silk duchesse jacquard top with necklace embroidery and matching skirt from the Versace Spring-Summer 2024 collection. Gianni Ribbon slingback pumps and a Medusa ’95 tote bag completed the look.

Meanwhile, at the Kering Women in Motion awards at the 77th Cannes annual Film Festival, Canadian filmmaker-actor Xavier Dolan cut a dapper figure in a Versace outfit.

He wore a tailored white suit, featuring a single-breasted blazer with Medusa buttons, matching pants and a Versace logo vest.

For Egyptian actress Salma Abu Deif, Versace was also the brand of choice as she attended the Variety Global Conversation at Marché Plage des Palmes.

The actress wore a checkerboard, double-silk duchesse jacquard dress with necklace embroidery from the Versace Spring-Summer 2024 collection.
