Set within Qatar Creates Week, the panel discussions explore the role of art in heritage preservation and sustainability among other topics
Qatar Creates has announced a series of public discussion panels under its Qatar Creates Week activities, taking place from October 24 through October 29. Featuring renowned figures from the local and international arts scene, including Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, along with acclaimed art practitioners, industry experts and patrons, the conversations will highlight a variety of perspectives exploring the impacts of art on culture.
The panels will be hosted at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), Liwan Design Studios and Lab, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) and M7, covering diverse topics on the interaction between heritage, art, geography, society and politics.
Saad Al Hudaifi, Executive Director of Qatar Creates, said: “The panel discussions pave the way for attendees to hear and learn from award-winning artists, influential patrons of the arts and global art advocates.
