The all-new Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupé packs a lot of power and some interesting innovations.
The 2024 two-door Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupé is sporty, elegant and displays the modern design language of the German luxury car manufacturer to perfection.
The Exterior
With its long, shark-nose shape, short overhangs and low-positioned radiator grille, the striking front end is highly impressive. The A-shaped grille cut-out with a three-dimensional chrome-plated Mercedes-Benz pattern makes for a brilliant finish.
And the intelligent DIGITAL LIGHT, one of several innovative highlights in the new car, helps guide the driver.
The rear has a new frameless design and is perfectly sculpted with its modern two-piece lights. The chrome trim elements on the diffuser as well as separate C-shaped chrome trim elements are also an expression of state-of-the-art luxury.
The Interior
The four-seater CLE Coupé features a digital 12.3-inch instrument display and various display styles, allowing the driver to decide which information is important and how it is shown. Also, the high-resolution 11.9-inch central display, a multimedia touchscreen, is extremely impressive.
Ambient lighting options, offering a 64-colour palette, allow the driver to create an interior lit according to their personal preferences or current mood.
And, because of the Burmester 3D surround system with Dolby Atmos, the high-performance speakers deliver an unparalleled musical experience.
The multicontour seats combine a wealth of adjustment options with exclusive feel-good extras. Ergonomic details allow for good seating positions and there are inflatable side cushions too. Also, there is a heating option for the front seats as well as a massage feature.
Equipment Highlights
Every Mercedes-Benz car has extraordinary features and the new CLE Coupé is no exception. It has everything a discerning, even picky driver would need and the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) Augmented Reality for Navigation is just one example.
This enables a driver to find their way around and combines the virtual world with the real one. On the central display, the technology merges graphic navigation instructions and traffic information into live images.
And, as a bonus, this version of MBUX offers numerous new functions, services and interactive options, controlled either by voice or touch and customisable with individual display styles.
The CLE Coupé has another ace up its elegant sleeve: the head-up displaytransforms the windscreen into an exciting digital cockpit, ensuring the driver always has key information right in their line of sight.
Meanwhile, the KEYLESS-GO feature allows the owner to open the door and start the car with the key still in their pocket. All they have to do is simply grab the door handle, open the door, take their seat, press the start/stop button and drive off.
And, thanks to the GUARD 360° system, the driver is safe at all times. GUARD 360° Vehicle Protection Plus offers all-round monitoring of the vehicle’s surroundings. In case someone attempts to steal the car, owners can act quickly, thanks to the anti-theft alarm system, as well as Emergency Key Deactivation. Plus, collision detection keeps a driver informed via the Mercedes me app.
Thanks to the the DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL suspension with adjustable damping and rear axle steering, drivers will experience a truly smooth, comfortable driving experience.
Performance
The Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupé comes in two models with the CLE 300 carrying a turbocharged 2.0-litre, inline-four powertrain, producing 255hp and 295lb/ft of torque. The CLE 450 improves on that with a turbocharged 3.0-litre, inline-six powertrain generating 375hp and 369lb/ft of torque.
Both models have nine-speed automatic transmission and are 48-volt hybrids.
The Driver Assistance System
The standard equipment of the CLE Coupé includes Attention Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Speed Limit Assist and the parking package with reversing camera.
Attention Assist aids the driver by adapting the speed to slower vehicles ahead. The desired target distance can be set in several stages. The status and activity of all driving assistance systems are shown on a full screen in the assistance display.
Other driver assistance systems are part of the equipment packages and the premium option includes the parking package with a 360-degree camera and DIGITAL LIGHT.
The Driving Assistance Package Plus is available as special equipment. It includes more than 10 latest-generation assistance and safety systems.
